Any questions regarding evaluations must be submitted to the Evaluation Committee via email, evaluations@metrowestforce.com
We would like to thank all of the volunteers who helped us run a successful and smooth evaluation process. Without your support, MWF would be unable to conduct evaluations, and we are truly grateful for the time and dedication you contributed. Thank you for helping create a positive experience for all participants.
To the players: you showed up, worked hard, and gave it your all on the ice. Be proud of your efforts, your commitment, and the sportsmanship you demonstrated throughout the process.
To the parents: we recognize that evaluations can be both an exciting and sometimes stressful time for families. Thank you for respecting our policies and guidelines, and for your patience and support throughout the evaluation process.
Please keep in the mind the following guidelines remain in place for our Balancing Sessions:
- All sessions take place at Greenfoot Energy Centre (GEC)
- All schedules and groups will be posted on the website under the Evaluation tab under the specific level. It is the responsibility of the Member to monitor the website during evaluations for updates. Please be sure to review new groupings and schedules carefully prior to each session.
- After every evaluation session, players may be reassigned to different groups. It is essential that you review the updated group lists and schedule before each session to ensure your player is attending the correct one.
- Please do not arrive more than 45 minutes prior to the start of your session for the remainder of the evaluation process. Dressing rooms are not ready and we are trying to avoid congestion in the evaluation area.
- Players must register and collect their numbered jersey at Session #1. Players are not to trade jerseys at any time. There will be a charge for any tryout jersey not returned.
- To ensure a fair and unbiased evaluation process, players are not permitted to wear private training, program or team identifying gear of any kind during tryouts, including but not limited to helmets, stickers, socks, pant shells (including MWF pant shells), etc. Players should wear approved association socks or plain solid-color socks. Please ensure your player has checked all required equipment prior to arriving to avoid any delays or conflicts during evaluations. Helmet stickers can be covered up if you prefer not to remove them.
- Players must sign in at the MWF registration desk outside of Rink A at GEC no later than 30 minutes prior to the start of their session and no earlier than 45 minutes prior to the start of their session.
- There is no access to the rink during evaluations. Parents may watch from outside the rink on the 2nd floor. Only evaluators and volunteers are permitted inside the rink doors and in the hallway outside the dressing rooms.
- Parents/guardians are not permitted to “hang out” in the hallway or registration area at any time; please wait for your players in the lobby.
- Gear is not to be stored in the hallways prior to the start of a session.
- Players are not allowed to “hang out” in the Rink A hallway or within the rink doors. If you are waiting for your session to start, players must be in the dressing rooms or elsewhere in the rink.
- Players and parents are expected to adhere to the Player and Parent Codes of Conduct that were agreed upon during registration. Please take a moment to review MWF’s policy as a reminder.
- Only volunteers will have access to the hallway outside the Dressing Rooms. Dressing room monitors, FEMALE ONLY, will be requested and sign up will be made available prior to each session.
- Due to limited space upstairs in the viewing section, we do ask that if your player is not on the ice to please vacate the area to make room for those parents/caregivers who do have players on the ice. This is greatly appreciated.
- RESPECT our volunteers, evaluators, GEC staff and other players and families; there is zero tolerance for disrespectful behavior and bullying.
