**Fees can be paid by credit card payment through GrayJay Pay or e-transfer.  E-transfers can be sent to payments@metrowestforce.com, please include players name in the message line and receipt number found in your GrayJay Pay receipt email.

REGISTRATION FEES:

1.  Following a thorough review of our registration fees, we are pleased to advise our members that registration fees including the $130 tryout fee, will remain unchanged for the 2026/2027 season.

2.  Competitive registration fees include the $130 try-out fee. If registering your player for Recreational there is no try-out fee. 

3.  Goalies playing U11 to U18 (all levels) pay 50% of the registration fee plus the $130 tryout fee if registering for competitive hockey.  When registering your Goalie, please be sure to check the specific Goalie registration (for example, U13 Competitive Goalie). Goaltenders must agree to remain in the position until at least November 15th, at which time any who choose to play 'out' will be required to pay a prorated/adjusted registration fee set on a case by case basis.

4. If your player registers for Competitive and is placed at the Rec level following evaluations, any payments made above the cost of Rec registration will be refunded. **The $130 try out fee is non-refundable.

5.  Registration fees include and help pay for:

• Tryout costs (for Competitive Levels): ice time, evaluators, other administrative costs.   Note: if your daughter is signing up for Rec there is no tryout fee required. *Tryout fee is included in the competitive registration fees.
• Development costs including Technical Director, other development personnel including goalie development instructors, Hockey for Life initiatives and certifications required for bench and team staff.  
• Hockey NS, Female Council and Hockey Canada Fees including insurance and team fees.
• Operating costs including admin and storage fees, bank charges, equipment purchases, jersey replacements, MWF support staff (individuals receiving stipends - Registrar, Ice Scheduler, Referee in Chief and Bookkeeper) and other overhead costs.
• Practice Ice and Home Game Expenses (including ice time and officials) as per the tables below:
  
  

Please note:

• Practice ice allocation is based on ice availability provided by HRM to Metro West Force. MWF is allocated a specific number of ice hours at rinks throughout HRM which is then distributed amongst all MWF teams and groups.  The allocation of ice provided from HRM is based on many factors including registration numbers from the past season.
• Home Game numbers include regular season, playoff season and exhibition games. 
• All teams will be charged for any additional practice ice time used throughout the season that is above the 60 minute allotment included with registration fees. This will be paid by parent contributions or fundraising, billed by MWF and collected through team budgets.
• **U15AAA teams will be charged for the additional costs for home games including extra ice, officials, etc. Teams will be billed by MWF and collected through team budgets.
  
  

*U15C / U18C: 

• MWF is currently in discussions regarding a U15C and a U18C league. The creation of this league is dependent on registration numbers and the interest received at other female associations.  
• Please note there is no guarantee at this time that a U15 and/or a U18 C league will be available but discussions are being conducted and associations need to wait for registration to close to understand numbers. 
• Players interested in registering directly for recreational programming are asked to select the U15C or U18C option during registration. No payment is required at this time to register for this program, please check the offline payment option.
• Once registration closes on August 15, Metro West Force will review registration numbers to determine whether a recreational league is feasible for the 2026/2027 season.
• After this review is complete and a decision has been made, MWF will contact all players who registered for the recreational program to discuss next steps and available options.

6. Registration Fees:  

The table below presents the registration fees (which includes the $130 try-out fee for those registering for Competitive) by level for the 2026/2027 season. 

ADDITIONAL FEES: It’s important to keep in mind that there are additional costs outside of the registration fees that Members will incur throughout the season. 

• All competitive players (A, AA, AAA) are required to purchase branded MWF socks (home and away) and branded pant shells. Ordering of socks and pants will be the responsibility of the Team Manager and can be paid by parent contributions or fundraising and will be collected through team budgets. 
• All competitive teams (A/AA/AAA) will require additional funds through parent contributions and/or fundraising to help pay for such things as additional development (on and off ice), team supplies, extra ice for practices or exhibition games, tournament fees and more. Parents should anticipate these additional costs for competitive hockey. 
• Travel costs: All competitive teams (A/AA/AAA) play on a provincial loop throughout the season; teams could play games from Yarmouth to Sydney, depending on the teams in their league. Parents should anticipate the additional costs for travel such as accommodations (if an overnight stay is required), mileage and other costs associated with travel. 
• Tournaments: Teams also participate in tournaments that may take place out of town and out of province over weekends. Teams are allowed a maximum of three (3) tournaments throughout the season. Parents should anticipate the additional costs for tournaments such as accommodations (if an overnight stay is required), mileage and other costs associated with travel. 
• Rec teams may also require additional funds through parent contributions and/or fundraising for branded MWF socks, tournaments, exhibition games and other team related costs. Rec teams may also choose to travel for tournaments/jamborees or exhibition games. Additional costs should be anticipated.
• U15C/U18C - if you are stating your interest to play U15C or U18C please select the offline payment option; do not send payment at this time as we are unsure of the viability of the U15C and U18C league as well as the cost. Once registration closes we will be in contact with those players who have chosen this option.

 
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN COMPETITIVE VS RECREATIONAL

Players have the option to register directly for our Recreational (Rec) program or participate in evaluations for consideration on a competitive team.

Players who choose to attend evaluations will be assessed and assigned to the appropriate competitive level based on their skill and development. Competitive teams are offered at the following levels:

• U11: A / AA
• U13: A / AA / AAA
• U15: A / AA / AAA
• U18: A / AA

Following evaluations, players who are not placed on a competitive team will be assigned to our Recreational program.
