2026 Call for Board Applications

Strong programs start with strong leadership!

As we prepare for our upcoming AGM (June 10, 2026), we’re inviting members to consider joining our Board of Directors. Your voice, experience, and passion can help shape the future of female hockey in our community—on and off the ice.

We have several positions open on our Executive; please take time to review the positions available and submit your interest.

**Note: The following positions are open for election and will be off cycle so we are looking for the volunteers to accept 3 year terms. The next formal vote for these positions would then take place in 2029 as per our Bylaws, section 6.3.2.2.

  • Executive Vice President
  • VP Recreational Hockey
  • VP Membership Experience

Please note:

  • As the needs of the Association and the Membership evolve so do our roles and responsibilities; Board Members must have the desire and commitment to evolve and adapt to the changing landscape of Female Hockey.
  • All Board Members must be committed to the growth and development of all MWF Members and understand the importance of supporting all divisions.
  • To apply for a position candidates must be a Member in Good Standing with MWF. A Member in Good Standing is defined as a member who is properly registered, compliant with all governing policies, free of suspension or sanction, up to date on all financial and training obligations, and conducts themselves in accordance with the association’s code of conduct, acting in a manner that upholds the integrity, values and reputation of Metro West Force Female Association.
  • Criteria and roles and responsibilities for all Board positions can be found on our website in our Governance document (pages 4 to 10). If you are interested in a position please be sure to review the desired criteria and roles and responsibilities carefully to ensure it's the right fit for you.
  • As per our policies, candidates must submit their expression of interest in writing prior to the AGM to be reviewed by the Board.  Submissions must be forwarded to Angela at president@metrowestforce.com no later than May 13th (end of day). Positions with more than 1 one candidate open for election at the AGM.  Successful candidates will be announced at the AGM in June.
  • The Board welcomes all expressions of interest for open positions. To help ensure candidates and the Board at large are set up for success, the recommended qualifications and experience for each role will be considered for all candidates.
  • Board Members are expected to serve a 2-year term.
  • Board Members are expected to attend monthly Board Meetings (in-person and virtual).

If you are looking to volunteer with the Association but are not interested in a Board position, we will be looking to fill other positions for the 2026/2027 season
