We’re asking our hockey community to help.

Thousands of families in Nova Scotia and Atlantic Canada have been impacted by raging fires, many of them in the Tantallon, Hammonds Plains and Bedford area. Our two associations are joining forces and asking our members to help support those families in their time of need. Our efforts in support of the Red Cross means that the Government of Canada will match every dollar donated to the Canadian Red Cross Nova Scotia & Atlantic Canada Fires Appeal. This means that every $1 donated will become $2 to support those affected by the wildfires.

We hope that you will join us in extending a helping hand to the communities we live and play in.

Donations to the Canadian Red Cross will be used for assisting those most impacted in the most affected areas in Nova Scotia and other Atlantic provinces with immediate and ongoing relief, recovery and resilience efforts in response to the wildfires, as well as supporting community preparedness and risk reduction for future all-hazard disaster events within Atlantic Canada.
